I remember watching you as a little kid...you, Tommy Monsour, Bob White, George Ranager, Sam McCorkle, etc. As a matter of fact, I remember hearing George Shannon say "Greg Ainsworth" tons of times. Because of you guys, one of my goals in life was to play for a State Championship Meridian High football team.

I got to, playing for two Championship teams in 1978-9 (Mac Barnes first two teams).

The man was a certified badass, played hurt constantly and once Eddie George started to suck he never really had that good of an offense to help him. Oh, and he was a finalist for the heisman at a 1AA school. Doubt anyone pulls that off ever again.

This has been a shitty couple of weeks. Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, Billy Mays and now Steve McNair.

It doesn't even feel right mentioning death and Steve McNair in the same sentence. This one hurts the most because it hits so close to home for most of us...

Regardless of what happened, It's a damn shame and a tradegy. If it is a double homicide, I hope that bastard fries in Hell forever (and I'm sure he will). McNair was truly one of the good guys in the world.
