1. Marlon Walls - had to sign with UT and a JUCO. He's got as good a shot to be denied as he does to get in.
2. Kenny Ashley - Never getting out of JUCO
3. Daniel Calvin - Grades were a big issue and it was basically known that he wouldn't get in.
4. Josh Tillman - wasn't likely to make it.
5. Daniel Thomas - had no intention of even attempting to do the extra coursework required of a JUCO to get into the SEC.
6. Willie Packer - almost no one believed he'd have a shot of getting into school.
7. Darius Barksdale - we all know how that went.
8. Bud Barksdale - not as bad on grades, but bad.
9. Quinn Sanford - good grief.
10. Gavin Hardin - Had something like a 2.2 GPA and a 15 on the ACT. Good luck.
11. Kenneth Davis - dropped out of high school.
12. Dominique Davenport - they cut him loose to sign a Hargrave kid with no offers even with us needing secondary help badly.
I'm sure there were more, but those are the ones that I remember. On top of that, the three major uncommitted targets that we were trying to get were:
DeAndre Brown - major grade risk
Alonzo Lawrence - major grade risk
Bo Tillman - major grade risk
I don't give a fuck what the 2006 class looked like - this was shitty recruiting. This class was an absolute disaster waiting to happen. I don't care how many BYU programs you have at your disposal (if they even work anymore), there's a good chance we were going to have 10+ non-qualifiers which would basically consist of the base of the class - the guys we built the class around, not a bunch of filler guys we were just taking a chance on. I know you take risks and whatnot with some of these guys, but we're talking about most of a class here that had a great shot of not making it to campus. I know it's been discussed over and over, but I simply still cannot believe how much of a moron that guy was and the danger we were in of not just sucking, but wrecking the program. This class could have absolutely wrecked the program for years to come if that moron had been allowed to stay at Ole Miss.

just anything. I die from a heart attack as soon as I see him. Most of them are very angry." - ScaldedbanditReb
