Is there anything you do for them or just hope they get better? My roommate in Memphis got one and had to have surgery. Not cool.

It appears I have a big ass spider bite on my back. I thought it was a zit, but it has a red spot in the middle, and is now the size of a fifty cent piece.
Just appeared this afternoon, meaning I was probably bitten last night. The creepy old guy in the gym thought it was a spider bite too.

My friend and I once ordered the same dinner, except I had a beer and he had a coke/soda/pop. He spent the next week puking his guts up while I drove him to the ER and shit. I swear by beer to this day. |

A friend who worked out with me at the gym thought he had a spider bite on his wrist. For a couple of days he kept it wrapped in a ace bandage. He asked me to take a look & soon as I saw it I knew it was staph. After that I know of at least 5 other people at the gym that came down with staph. That shit is very easy to spread. I would at least get that checked out quick. At the hospital here in Tupelo we were told that only 20% of "thought" spiders bites turn out to
actually be bites. The other 80% are staph & some forms of staph can spread very quickly.
Take her easy, and if she's easy take her twice!!

If I had seen this earlier I would've told you to get someone to draw around it with a marker or pen and not to wash that off so you could see how much it
had grown by the morning.
What many people don't understand about cuts and infection is that at any given time, you can have microscopic cuts on your skin, ones you can't see or feel...and thats plenty enough for bacteria to get into. Just because you don't have an open cut doesn't mean you don't have one. My advice: Don't die. |

I know I'm late to this, but you probably have MRSA... | #30
|
I am involved in a workman's comp case about MRSA and the person thought they had a spider bite. It is commonly mistaken for spider bite. If a doctor
says it is a spider bite, go get a second opinion. You do not want to fuck around with MRSA. You say that you go to the gym 3 times a week right? You
probably got it from there. Go to the doctor immediately and hope that they can find the magic antibiotic. That shit is very hard to get rid of and painful
as shit. Be very careful to keep your hands compulsively clean especially if you touch it. It will spread and you will hate life. It's bad stuff.

It's probably a brown recluse. You're not long for this world. Go get some mexican food and play a cheap round of golf. There's nothing else to
do in that town.

A son of a good friend of mine got bit by a brown recluse | #32
|
and it fucked him up pretty good. Was in ICU for a while and had to get his leg cored down to get rid of the dead tissue. Was a real bad deal. They hang out
in dark, musty places and are prevalent in Texas. This happened in Houston. It will form like a zit and then get very dark black in the middle where the
tissue is dying. Either way if it is a spider bite or staph, go to a doctor.
