Late Breaking News: MHP Trooper Dies in Wreck The Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol confirms an accident Friday night claimed the life of a long-time state trooper. MHP Sergeant HL Kitchens says the accident happened around 6 pm on Highway 370 at Brices Cross Roads west of Baldwyn while in pursuit of another vehicle. More details will be listed as they become available on WTVA.com.

Posts: 19 May 29, 2009 10:49 PM	I did a quick google on Steve Hood Mississippi Highway Patrol and a story about his near fatal accident a year ago showed up. A tree fell on the guy and almost killed him. http://www.mmrcrehab.org/...media/details.php?id=241 WTVA said he was in a high speed chase, lost control, and flipped several times.
