Should Bianco have saved Pomz for Sunday? |

I know we still got 120 pitches out of him, but maybe would he have been sharper with another days rest?

Not if we only scored 1 run on Sunday again. | #1

I think we would have lost Saturday anyway.

Pom should have been saved for Sunday. | #4

We didn't HAVE to win on Saturday like we did on Sunday. Our players could have have been way more relaxed on Saturday knowing they had Pom to fall back
on Sunday.
I'm not a Bianco basher, although I do think he made some mistakes in this series, with pitching Drew on Saturday being on that list. We may have lost anyway, but I think saving your ace for the rubber game would have been better for the team's psyche on Saturday and Sunday. Besdies constantly playing David Phillips, I had no problems with what Bianco had done up until the 8th inning Saturday. Starting Pom was the right thing
to do.

I'm baffled why Phillips played so much | #6

he was an inning killer all weekend

I was shocked at that, too. | #7

I didn't think there was any way that guy would get to play on Sunday outside of a late inning strategic move.

The dumbest move was letting Phillips hit into a double play, then replacing him in the field | #8
|
how about pinch hitting for him if you are going to pull him? He hit into double plays or struck out all weekend.

I said beforehand that I would have saved him for Sunday. But it wouldn't have mattered. | #9

Your pitching was plenty good enough to win all 3 games.

You pitch him Saturday because if they win on Saturday they have all the momentum.
Of course, you can't win jack shit scoring one run on their scrubs. ![]()

Mr Phillips was a flurry of incompetence in every facet of the game | #11

he did nothing well except look like a half a ballplayer in the uni
