But I established my disdain for college baseball years ago, so it's not sour grapes.
I patently don't care. I would've liked to see the Rebels go to Omaha, but I was over the super regional loss before it was over. I was watching King of the Hill before the loss was set in stone. I never grew up caring about it and I still can't get in to it. I do casually follow MLB, but as soon as college football starts, baseball is put on the back burner until the playoffs.

If we aren't playing, then I don't give a shit who wins. That's just me though.
That said, I did check the scores enough to notice that LSU scored more runs (9) in 8 innings against UVA pitching than we managed to score (  in 31 innings
against UVA pitching.
Thanks Reinstetle. To all our fans that want to bitch about having to play a good UVA team, LSU would've swept those assholes out of a Super Regional in Baton Rouge without thinking twice. Our baseball program is just a pussy program by comparison. |

a similar logic applies to Southern Miss. I can't imagine that there would be an outpouring of support from Hattiesburg for a similarly situated Ole Miss
team.
And, while I'm less averse to pulling for UVA, I'd hate to have to read all the Spirit proclamations that "the real 2009 championship series was played IN OXFORD!!!1!" So, I guess I'd like to see Fullerton or Texas win it.
Don't ever worry about being "retardedly optimistic." I don't know of any other way to approach a situation.
