"There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese." - Coach Bobby Finstock "When we get CWS banners that reference teams that used aluminum bats, it'll be really spiffy." - Rebheaded Stranger |

recruiting Dex, I told them they'd better sign him or he'd come back to bite them in the ass. He bit them in the ass last fall."

Sanford is the only high profile republican left who's actually a fucking republican and was playing a strong role in the efforts to wrest the party back
from the Trotskyites who currently run it. No way he maintains enough credibility for the majority of Republicans to give a fuck about what he says now.
"Hrmm...you make a good point that I can't really refute, but there was that time you cheated on your wife; so clearly your philosophy is wrong. We think will run huge deficits to fund perpetual wars now. Thanks, goodbye."

I partied with Cliff Finch at the Hat and Cane in Jackson | #6
|
Finch was even more open about his affairs. It's a long story, but I partied with Cliff Finch one night at the old Hat and Cane club in Jackson while he
was governor. Cliff really knew how to use the gubernatorial powers not listed in the state constitution.

Didn't his wife shoot him in the Mansion? | #7

We've really had some hall-of-famers occupy that office.
Don't ever worry about being "retardedly optimistic." I don't know of any other way to approach a situation.

I think you are correct | #8

I believe he did get shot in the mansion. You could devote an entire wing of the Misbehaving Governors Hall of Fame to Cliff Finch. Most of the stories were
kept out of the news.

Actually, she shot him in the Ass in the mansion. I was dating a nurse at | #9
|
St. Dominic's at the time. They ambulanced his wounded ass to St. Dom's and patched up his ass (literally) before transferring him to Baptist. Martha
told me that the whole time he was at St. Dom's he was blathering on about not wanting to die because he got "caught with his pants down." Her
charge nurse and the ER attending gathered everybody who worked on the ass-patching and made them sign non-disclosure statements. Cliff Finch was one of the
more pathetic creatures in the history of Mississippi politics.

Maybe if people would stop caring if some asshole is getting some.... | #10

pussy on the side maybe we can stop throwing polititians away like trash for doing something that several people already do. I wouldn't cheat on my wife, but I don't really care if a guy who is executive of a trillion dollar state government, as long as he is good at his job. His personal life is really nobody's business public figure or not. I find it to be one fo the dumbest goddamn reasons for death in political career. A person is pretty intelligent. People are fucking irrational and stupid. I always find it interesting that the entire paradigm of free market economics is that people make economic decisions rationally. Puhleeze. |

left the country w/ no bodyguards and failed to tell his own staff where he was going. That alone is a severe lapse in judgment.

If he can be tempted like that, can he be plied with cash or sex to influence his political decision? It is not just his infidelity to his wife.

whether or not they their means of rendevous was particularly stupid as it was in this case. It makes them unlikeable but that shit can be forgiven, at least
by me, if they are doing a particularly good job.

your (or my) work life at some point(s) in time.
Whether its an affair, a shaky marriage, kid trouble, financial trouble, booze, drugs, or fill-in-the-blank, I have yet to work at a job where a co-worker's job performance wasn't affected by their non-work life at multiple times during their employment. |
