And checked out the draft right before the Memphis Grizzlies 2nd pick of the 1st round.
I have no idea who was in the draft (other than Tyreke Evans) or who Memphis was leaning toward but they pick DeMarre Carroll(sp). I have no idea who this kid is and while they show clips of him they start talking about he may, at some point, need a LIVER TRANSPLANT. What??? You have a chance at a late 1st round player and you pick a kid who has a liver condition and at some point may need a liver transplant. Of course, his Dr. says he may need one in 20 years but who's to say it may be in 2 years. Typical Memphis pick. Maybe the guy will end up a solid player, but come on, surely the Grizzlies could have used the pick on a guy with the same skills who did not have a liver ailment. |

I love basketball as much as the next guy, but come on. There was a first rounder who averaged 8 ppg in college. Ridiculous. NBA GMs have got be the most
ignorant group in sports. They draft solely on wingspan, leaping ability, and strength. It doesn't matter at all if you can actually PLAY THE GAME. This
"one and done" rule that the NBA has is ruining both college and NBA hoops.
