Wow. That wasn't partisan. | #1

Grove-bashing aside, I'd call the ACC title game, being on national TV and USC's Cockaboose overrated if I was a Clemson fan, too.
Anyone who calls "The Rock" underrated and The Grove overrated has some serious issues. I'm not saying that as an alumni, I'm saying that as a sane human being. Anything "underrated" should probably be moving more than 25k tickets a game.

I'm not sure, but he may be NAFOOM | #2

I mean... Ole Miss makes 2 of the top 5 overrated southern football traditions? Really? Hotty Toddy is overrated? Who the heck rates it that high? I
don't think I've ever seen an article saying, "You have GOT to be in Vaught Hemingway when Hotty Toddy breaks out. It sends chills down the
spine."

I think he may be an Arkansas fan actually. To rate the whole football scene in the state of Arkansas as the 2nd most underrated...I mean, Fayetteville's
solid. But what else? Jonesboro? Pine Bluff? Honestly?

I've always thought that the Clemson hill thing was a bad idea | #4

That many hyped up guys running in close quarters down a hill. You're begging for knee/ankle problems.

"7) Jack Cristil-The "Voice" of MSU football for over 50 years isn't known nearly as well as Munson or Eli Gold, but he is
truly one of the games best. His unique voice is a pleasure to listen to. If you are out of the State of Mississippi I encourage you to purchase a XM Radio
to listen to MSU games this year. The $10 a month you pay for the XM is certainly worth it when you hear this man"
I can't tell you one State fan who enjoys the voice of this walking bag of bones. My dad has a HATRED for Jack Cristil because of his lack of emotion and lag of about 5 seconds on every play. |

I didn't realize we were normally rated so highly | #6

To have two things in the top 5, this guy is either screaming "I hate Ole Miss" or I have drastically underestimated how highly rated we are.

Even Arkansas fans admit the tailgating in Fayetteville is weak at best, but I've actually heard that the golf course for the Little Rock games is
pretty impressive.

The Rock? | #12 | ||

I like this gem -
"What isn't to like?"I'm going to go with "everything inside Forrest County".
the $30 Weber is the official nafoom grill, because according to some, even a hot dog tastes like bigfoot's dick coming off of one.

He's already predicting Nutt bolting for Okie State-
http://www.dixiefriedsports.com/Is_Ole_Miss_Nutts_.html "If Ed Orgeron did anything correct at Ole Miss it was Hummer Commercials and recruiting. The man did bring in some serious talent at Ole Miss that if coached right could compete for a bowl game. Nutt took over a perfect situation. He can come into Oxford this year win 6-7 games and then look to be a genius. With Mike Gundy struggling with a 18-19 record, it could take only 1 more bad season for Gundy to be shown the door. At that point you've got to imagine that the money of Boone Pickens will come calling for Houston Nutt to return back to Stillwater. With facility upgrades being done at Boone Pickens Stadium, the Pokes will have one of the nicest facilities in the Big XII. I doubt anyone would be surprised if Nutt left Oxford for OSU in a season or two. If not Oklahoma State then another program. He'll turn Ole Miss around this season, but at what expense?"

After further review of this website | #15

It lists the playing of Enter Sandman while Virginia Tech runs onto the field as one of the 10 best college football traditions.

Now that's hilarious. The money Pickens has spent so far is only making OSU's facilities not embarrassing. They're no where near the top of the
Big 12 and probably never will be.
|
||||
|
|
||||
Oxford Godfrey |
Not sure if that holds water or not | #18
|
It would seem to me that if there was a possibility of Nutt going to OSU he would've sat out a season while Gundy imploded.
Pickens aside, OSU football is a shitty, uphill battle. Until you realize you're playing for third every year, OSU, TAMU, Tech and Baylor aren't going to be big players in the coaching market. I think Sherman is doomed in College Station.

Hes donated $235 million towards their facilities | #19
|
I'd say thats enough to make them pretty damn nice. Go look at them. Texas nor Oklahoma's are any nicer.
I think Oklahoma State could easily be a player in the Big 12 if they want to be. |
||||
|
|
||||
because it itches |
Overrated? No. Ironic? Yes. | #20
|
It's just stupefying that a place like Ole Miss with the wonderful tradition of the Grove, a great cheer like Hotty Toddy, and some really great people can
suck so badly at football. We have really had to work hard to keep our program down. But dammit, reliving the 1860's and 1960's was too damn much
fun. Who can give a shit about winning when there's more important things to do like bringing Colonel Reb back.
