Pretty damn amazing game. Looks great on the 52" Sony HD.
Got me to thinking, how quickly video games have transformed in a relatively short time.
It all started in the late 70's with with this:
Then, we really thought it was bad ass when you could PASS the ball with this one:
Then, years later, we thought we had the greatest shit on earth when we had this:
And now, in 2008, we have this:
I just wonder what the hell it will be 15-20 years from now?

and I vividly remember riding my bike to a friends house and playing some Pitfall on the Atari 2600. Those were some kick ass summer days back in the
mid-1980s.

My guess is that eventually, the video games will look almost identical to if you were watching a game on CBS, and the player movements will be more human
like.
The hardest thing to emulate with a video game is true human movement, because so much of your body is moving at once. That's why video game characters still look a little bit unnatural when they're running. Eventually, they'll get to the point where they look like actual people when they're moving. They're pretty close already, but you'll probably look back at our current technology 10 years from now and laugh at the thought that you believed your video game characters back then looked pretty life-like. |

That's why I mentioned the Uncanny Valley hypothesis. Things that look too human but clearly aren't freak people out. I think they will reach a
threshold that game designers may not be able to cross and still sell games. I could be completely wrong too. Personally I would love to look like I was
playing football controlling something that looks identical to a tv broadcast.

Okoye was Super Tecmo Bowl (but still a beast)...Tecmo Bowl had Bo Jackson and 'the play' for San Fran that couldn't be stopped...

Even Mike Singletary made it worth playing with the Bears from time to time.
And you remember Singletary - the guy that taught Patrick Willis how to play the linebacker position.
I've always heard that, if you can't run with the big dogs, you should stay on the porch. My question is, why does one's
inability or lack of desire to run with big dogs confine him to the porch? Why shouldn't such a man be allowed to roam the rest of the house or even go for
a nice walk in the park?

the Bears were a strong team, sweep left and right got boring though, although you couldn't beat Mike S. in the middle on defense. I met him at the Liberty
Bowl in 1989 FYI.
I preferred the aerial assault with the 9ers, Broncos, or it seemed the Redskins had a decent passing attack. |

Ronnie Lott was the only player on that game that could cover "the play" and unfortunately he was on the same team. L.T. was a close second. That
dude could drop back in the secondary and intercept the deep ball.

They made alot of improvements from last years game (which actually sucked). I'm just waiting to get XBox Live to try out the online dynasty.
