Now on to the dogs... |

First, that was the best game we played in the past 4 years (yes, even better than FLA). We totally domaninated the tigers from start to finish.

I'm nervous about the Dogs. | #1
|
When "Catch 22" (he earned that nickname back tonight) fumbled, I thought "we can probably hang on to win this game." And then I
immediately thought, "he's capable of doing that 3 times against State's defense." If we don't protect the ball, State can beat us. And
we are very capable of not protecting the ball.

Understandable but... | #2

Even though Dex has had bad timing with those fumbles (tonights really didnt matter at all) he has gotten a lot better about protecting the ball and Im not as
concerned about him as I was 3-4 games ago. Im still a bit worried about Snead though with 2 to 3 times today that he really should have been picked off. If
that happens at MSU and they can capitalize on it, then it could become a nasty game real fast. That said, Snead has been good these last few games and I
believe that he will take care of the ball and that we will probably run a lot more on MSU then we did LSU.

They are definitely a threat, but... | #3

for the first time in a long time, I'm wooly about the quality of leadership on our team.
I don't think that guys like Snead, Cook, Oher and Peria Jerry are going to let the others lose focus. Baaah.
Don't ever worry about being "retardedly optimistic." I don't know of any other way to approach a situation.

Bullshit, | #10 | ||

I'll be the first one to call out Dex if he fumbles in a situation that is avoidable, but that was an almost unavoidable fumble. That hit was helmet/pads
to ball. Even if he'd had the monster grip on that shit, it still would have come out. Don't blame him, he's doing just fine over the last 3
games.

I don't know Oxpatch. | #11

The last 4 games or so, Dex has been holding onto the rock with both hands when he's about to get hit. On this one, he was letting the ball swing out away
from his body and only had one hand on it. I'd rather him keep both hands on the ball and keep possession. Yes, it was a helmet to ball hit, but with both
hands on it and keeping it close to his body, odds are he wouldn't have fumbled.
He's still doing a great job and glad the DEFENSE stepped up at that point. Last year, that would have turned into 6 points and us unraveling and getting beat. Too much leadership on this team, starting from the top. |

can't blame Dex for taking a helmet on the ball, but you can blame him for jumping in the air | #12

or whatever he was doing. He has been putting two hands on it 98% of the time though. I'm impressed

hell yes they can beat us. if we don't stop their running game | #13
|
(which i think we will) they could beat us by 10. There is not a team in the conference that we have a guaranteed win against. That is the message nutt will
preach and this team will be ready.
My only concern is that nutt's teams do not play well against lesser opponents. surely he knows that a loss to state would just about ruin a good season. With that said, i think we will win by 8. |

I think the team is too focused right now, and I don't think any of them have forgotten last year's Egg Bowl. They'll have plenty of motivation.
The way I see it, the only way we lose Friday is if we put on a turnover show like we've done a few times this year. That only happens if we lose focus.
It's a rivalry game, so it's hard to predict, but I think we win.

The important issues we need to discuss about state... | #15
|
What color jerseys will we wear and how bad will they clash with the maroon. What should we as fans wear. I hope Nutt doesn't tell us to wear red because I
got cocktail sauce on my favorite red shirt in the grove during the second quarter of the ulm game. How pretty is the trophy we will get if we win the game? I
mean playing a football game for an ugly trophy is just bullshit. How can we expect our fans to show up for the game when the trophy is so ugly? I'm
convinced that the male/female ratio on this board is about 50-50.
