Liability insurance would certainly be a factor, but it's not the reason. (reply)
City Grocery isn't passing out to-go cups because it's a poor business decision. They aren't doing it because it would be against state law.The dram shop laws in MS help protect the establishment, and the insurance companies aren't...

It's my understanding that to-go cups are forbidden (reply)
by state law because the Baptists* wanted to contain drinking in bars and only bars for reasons that are inherently obvious such as the raping of pure women and killing of children and whatnot. There are essentially two bodies of law...

liability insurance might be the reason (reply)
I have no way of knowing if insurance is the reason or just one of many reasons, but its no small thing. My stepfather used to own a business that sold booze at festivals (Jubilee Jam, St. Paddy Day and others). The primary reason he...

is certainly holding his own. That may not be country to you, but it certainly toes the line. There's some good country out there, it's just tougher to find. I like a lot of the Texas/Red Dirt country acts that are out there. Jamey...

It's all just affirmation songs (reply)
I don't listen to the radio anymore, so I've had to opportunity to hear two songs by ZBB, Toes and Chicken Fried. These songs are just lists of things affirming what a segment of the population likes/hates set to music that has a certain...

That was one single early song. (reply)
Try listening to an entire album instead of one or two songs. He's not "traditional" country, but he's probably the most talented musician in country music right now. If he's good enough to open for Alan Jackson...

That's about how I felt about ZBB (reply)
Jimmy Buffett-ish. Though I've never seen them live and barely heard a couple of their tunes. They play in Tupelo tomorrow night, but I haven't really seen or heard it advertised very much.

He's not bro, he's a generic Buffett (reply)
"Laid back beach generic shit" country Old Buffett, the rosetta stone of Gulf-Western music, was clever and literate. Toes in the sand and a drink in the hand shit is a pale imitation, even though Buffett himself has become a parody of...

Except ZBB isn't bro country. (reply)
He's actually spoken out against it and gotten backlash from the brocountry singers. Called one of Luke Bryan's songs "the worst song I've ever heard."

I'm only kidding. We don't need to do such. That's what little brothers do.
