and pilfer through the magazines and shit and grab one or two of them. If it was morning, he would pour a big mug of coffee. Afternoons it was a can of coke.
Evenings it was a beer. He would then add cigarettes to his provisioning and disappear into the crapper. He would not reemerge until he had smoked three or
four cigs, consumed his beverage, and read two or three issues of Time and Sports Illustrated.
I always wanted his girlfriend. She was not particularly hot or anything, but when he would go on one of these shit safaris and she was in the living room watching TV with me, he would bellow out, "Lindsey. Grab me a [cuppa coffee, coke, beer]!" She never said a goddamned word, but quietly got up grabbed the additional beverage, took it into the garden of stink, and just as quietly return to the living room. She actually made him a sandwich from time to time. Woman of my fucking dreams.
