You'll like San Antonio | #1

I lived there for a little over a year, and it is a pretty laid back town atmosphere trapped in the body of an old city. Traffic is not horrendous and there
are plenty of things to do around town. Close proximity to New Braunfels and other hill country destinations is a huge plus. The North by Northwest side of
the city is probably where you will want to live, but if you have time take a look around. There are some cool places to live around the King William area,
which is not that expensive and Alamo Heights if you can afford something around there, both of which are closer to downtown. The hot chick scene will be a
downgrade from what you are probably used to, but it is not a disaster. There are two major events, besides the Spurs that get that city really fired up, and
it is Fiesta and The Rodeo. Fiesta is kind of like their version of Mardi Gras. A week long party of sorts. The live music scene is pretty pedestrian over
there as well. They even get pretty shitty bands at their outdoor amphitheatre Go to Austin if you want to see good shows; it's less than an hour away.
Lots of good mountain biking and outdoors things to do around there, and you can drive about an hour or so west and get into some good dove hunting. Lot's
of golf courses, and a good driving range around Trinity University. There is also a rifle/skeet range in the middle of town. I always thought that was
pretty bizarre. There was also this place near the southside and King Williams that I used to go to that served cheap beer and good burgers and tacos and shit
that was mostly outdoors and they let me bring my dog. It was called La Tuna. Have fun. You'll like it.

I own red wings as well, and still wear them. I was just saying, people move to Texas and get boot fever. I'm not criticizing you owning Red Wings. I
like the shit out of mine.

are 90's.
King Ranch for play.
Georgia Farm & Ranch for work.
Nice. Or, how about "you're and idiot". That one works, too. And you talk about incompetent. ....IndependenceBowlMainstay defending the honor of

I got the same problem.
My wife had the TV on the Bachelor 2 the other night. One girl stepped out to meet the guy and I said, "hell, she is old". They then showed her age as 33. The same age as me. I told my wife that I was having a hard time coming to grips with being "old".

I suppose I should have added "fancy" to the end of real.... | #11

I just know a lot of folks who have spent a lot more on a pair of boots than I would be willing to. I've never caught on with that, but have had the urge
to. Most of them look really good if they are not overly exotic. Some are just plain ridiculous.

The hot chick scene will be a downgrade from what you are probably used to, but it is not a disaster.do you mean a downgrade from Memphis or Oxford?

But if it's not a downgrade from Memphis, I weep for you guys that live there. Oxford shouldn't even be mentioned in this comparison.

...but calling girls in San Antonio "Texas women" is a bit of a stretch. It certainly isn't anything like Dallas or Austin, where the selection
is top choice. And downtown is fun, great when friends come into town to show off. Problem is, very few people live downtown, and you've got to really
want to get there from the rest of the city. Bad parking, etc.
The good things about it, are the great food, LOTS of places to play golf that are actually in city, and its relative proximity to Austin. OP4, if you're making good money you will probably like it just fine. But think hard about location. |

I've actually already rented a house | #17
|
It's got a big ass deck with a hot tub built in. It's supposedly a decent area. My work is paying for the first two months so that's nice.
I've been driving thirty minutes to work for six years, so location isn't that key to me. I mean, the house is in a neighborhood with a nice park with
a lake and shit.. The houses are all around 160-220k, so I'm not going to get gunned down. Plus, I'm a veteran of Rapeshotstabbedkilled, TN.
