I remember that season, but not very well. Is that the team that, had we beaten UT, we'd have won the SEC?
I've always heard that, if you can't run with the big dogs, you should stay on the porch. My question is, why does one's
inability or lack of desire to run with big dogs confine him to the porch? Why shouldn't such a man be allowed to roam the rest of the house or even go for
a nice walk in the park?

and faced a horrible 8-3 Virginia in the Sugar Bowl. UT was 7-2-2 (I think) so in the 1990 Sugar Bowl the 2 participating teams played 7 games that they did
not win.

We played UT in Memphis (we sold our home game) Florida was on probation, but had we beaten Ut, we'd played a very over-rated Virginia team in the Sugar
Bowl.
Michigan was considered the best 8-3 team in the country. Two losses were last second and their loss to (Mich State - I think) was tainted by a horrid blown call in the endzone. Anyway, it was cold and I was hungover. Their OL was an NFL line. Their backfield would play in the NFL too - Grbac, J Bunch - and of course Desmond Howard was a junior and won the Heisman the following year. He abuse Danny "Red Shoes" Boyd all day. |
