My point is, there is no way that any parents can have well-balanced, well-adjusted, worldly kids when there are 18 of them competing for attention/affection. Or is it perfectly fine to have brainwashed robo-children as long as they don't interrupt your Uncle Herschle's Breakfast at Cracker Barrel? Since, apparently the benchmark for child a-raisin' is them being quiet and not acting like kids in a restaurant.

Fuck all that book-learnin', key developmental social interactions, and sense of self worth, right? It's just secular liberal crap, ain't it? They are shut up when you set down to eat at Applebee's, so they've done a wonderful job.

What do you think the girls in that family think of themselves with a mother who is nothing more than a subjugated baby factory as a role model? Do you think these the boys will be any better off, or will they get other little mountain girls preggers when they're 15 or be hooked on meth, because Jim Bob didn't have the time to raise them correctly?

There's no arbitrary number of kids to have, you rube. However, there is a point where you just start praying that Jed doesn't have a social complex when he's 20 and starts sending out mail bombs from his cabin.

My point, is that people like that, and people like you who condone people like that, are feeding into the never ending cycle of poverty and ignorance that has plagued our region for centuries. This isn't Gunsmoke, Jethro. The days of slapping your woman and kids around, because your preacher said you could are over.

Finding an uneducated, simple woman to brainwash is wrong.
Forcing a woman to have 18 kids by brainwashing her, is wrong.
Having 18 children, and being more Messiah-like that father-like is wrong.
Exploiting your circus of a family on national TV for monetary gain is wrong.
Forcing your kids to be educated by a woman who hasn't been outside of Arkansas is wrong.
Creating a cycle of ignorance, poverty, and backwards thinking is wrong.
Subjugating a woman because of some religious interpretation is wrong.
Having kids that will lead empty and sad lives is wrong.
Using the Bible and Jesus as a shelter to conduct all of these atrocities is wrong.
Ensuring that fellow sickos across the country are reaffirmed by providing "legitimacy" to their actions (It's on TV, so it's ok!)


I'm sure you felt it was perfectly okay for that commune in Texas to exist, where 13 year-olds were raped in the pulpit, too. I'm sure if they sat by you at Taco Bell, they wouldn't make a peep, either.

If you want to run around, preaching doomsday scenarios and yodeling at whistle pigs, by all means, be my guest. It's when people start cranking out children that the rest of us have to deal with, you are held to a standard. And there is no fucking way, that anyone can raise 18 bleary-eyed kids in a religious cult, and not have them come out fucked up when they're forced to join society.
