What say you? Is Star Trek just for geeks? I think this looks halfway decent.

What say you? Is Star Trek just for geeks? I think this looks halfway decent. Girls have accused me in public of running a web site where we "pick girls we'd fuck in facebook photos." That is just not the truth. I don't run the site. - Oxford Godfrey |

I think it has a lot of potential. And I used to watch The Next Generation | #1

for most of it's run. I'll definitely see it.

I also used to watch Next Generation | #2

But that's as far as my Star Trek knowledge extends. I've seen a couple of the movies too.

I'll pass. But let me know what the girls at Ole Miss look like | #3

a few hundred years into the future when Dr. McCoy is there.

I forgot about that. But that means all good rebels should go see it** | #4

How did I make it this far in life without knowing that trivia?
Via Wikipedia: Leonard McCoy was born in 2227 according to Star Trek: The Next Generation episode: "Encounter at Farpoint". He attended the University of Mississippi, where he once met Emony Dax, a female Trill athlete with whom it is implied he had a "brief involvement" (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode: "Trials and Tribble-ations")[2]. Looks like we will start recruiting Trills in a few hundred years, whatever those are. Can they cover man to man? If so we need to speed that up.

Seven Year Plan |
An Ole Miss grad I worked with wrote a couple of Star Trek episodes for fun. They were | #6

picked-up.
"Where there's beer, there's Seven Year." - Gallatin Reb "There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese." - Coach Bobby Finstock |

I was hoping to see more of Simon Pegg as Scotty. | #7

Also seems we can't have a movie anymore without showing everyone's backstory.

well, I think backstory is appropriate here, since it's the whole point of the movie** | #8

but do they really need to show Kirk as a kid? | #9

I figured they'd be starting off with the Kobayashi Maru.

re-hashing old ideas but that looks pretty good. Siler as Spock though? They might as well have Hayden Pantiari get into a tight-fitting outfit as an extra.
I miss Deanna Troi's ever present camel toe from Next Generation. Who the hell is Kobayashi Maru?

Kobayashi Maru was an unwinnable Academy exercise that Kirk was the first ever to "beat" | #11
