That was awesome. I really liked the "in order to be insubordinate, you must first be subordninate" | #1

I got the feeling that the agent is kicking the school's ass in that fight.

Looks like Leach has a good agent. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

.... when he turned down all those offers before the Cotton Bowl. We cost him MILLIONS. He needed to cash in before his smoke and mirrors (aka Big 12
defenses) act got exposed by a legit defense.

Are you being sarcastic? It's not like their offense was shut down by any means.

Nevermind The 21 Points We Spotted Them | #6

Their offense got shut down of almost every critical play. Take away the first 5 minutes turnover fest, and the scores in garbage time ..... they're lucky
that game was within 40 points.

at first blush, one would think that. | #7

then you realize that, at this point, leach has nowhere to go -- so he's got no leverage. on top of that, it appears that he actually wants to be at ttu,
for less money at that. if not, he would've taken the money elsewhere in the offseason. so, he's going to be the coach at texas tech next year. and
because ttu knows all of the above, it will be at whatever terms this gerald myers character deems reasonable. so the agent is bitching over smaller issues
because he's got no leverage.
This is why Rivals' evaluation of players sucks, per Dave Childers:

You are correct...if you just ignore the times they scored, they were shut down.

I Never Said They Had $tate's Offense | #9

Just that if he brought that smoke and mirrors act with his cream puff defense to the SEC ..... he'd be run out of town very early.
But yes, his offense is at it's best when it means the least. |

His offense has been through the SEC before... | #10

When he turned UK into the best offense in the country a year after they'd been the worst in the SEC. Say what you will about him, the guy knows how to
move the football against pretty much anyone.

I still think his defense couldn't shut down my grandmother and 10 of her friends if it had to.

than the stuff they run now. But just like Tech, UK also had no defense.

No...it's really not | #13

It's the same Air Raid stuff, they did back then, and that Leach did with OU. The splits may be wider now, but that's about it.

I'm sure finding and article you remember reading on one of the most widely-read football strategy blogs took him fucking forever. Get over yourself.

No...though a google search is always just a click away. | #16

I read it a few weeks ago. So I remembered it. So I linked it.
Would you like to make any other assertions that I can shoot down with the click of a mouse? My kid's sick on a 70 degree sun drenched day and I'm stuck inside watching fucking golf and trying to get some work done, so I could use the distraction. Global Warming? Loch Ness Monster? Snipe Hunting?

how'd they rank in the SEC those years? | #17
|
just curious. I know the guy can move the ball on a slightly better than average team...not as much on a much better than average team. They moved the ball
on us at Dallas...but we gave them 21 points. 14 up front, 7 at the end....and took the proverbial knee.
Granted...they took what we gave them. I wouldn't trade offensive schemes with them.

their board about Leach.

much like the 2008 Egg Bowl with the exception of the ignore the scoring part as that has yet to happen even 3 months later.
