What about christian? How does he tie into all of this? Also, the previews for next week show Kate, Sawyer and Juliet back on the island. How do you suppose that happens? I thought last nights episode was really good. Too bad next week is the season finale.

Guess we'll see. But the killing everyone to restore the future is dumb. That is the same as committing suicide. While the other "you" may continue to a great, island-free life, that's a different "you". You'd be killing the you that you actually are. Or something.

And the Johnny Depp eyeliner. I don't understand why he isn't the leader though. It seems like when they don't have an official leader he is the back up guy, but as soon as Locke comes back he hands everything over.

Im pretty sure what the creators and Faraday are trying to say is that 1977 and 2007 are both present. Basically what Jack/Sayid are trying to do is their present and hasn't happened yet. There are a wealth of problems with this theory, which is why I can't imagine that Jack and Sayid will be successful in stopping the hatch from being built. Also, Im interested in seeing where they take Locke, because he is sounding a little like Jim Jones.

Not to mention that the picture of Jacob looks just like Locke but with hair. So if Locke kills his past self in the future (or his future self in the past), then whatever happened happened and the loop reoccurs over and over again. Oh, I don't watch previews for that very reason. Thanks mfers.

Posts: 1398 May 7, 2009 11:59 AM	I think the show has taken a turn for the better this season, but the whole time travel thing can become a slippery slope to disaster because of the paradox that you inevitably end up with. I'm interested in seeing how things work out, but every single episode, I find myself questioning more and more about how they can wrap this thing up without a massive hole. The idea of going back in time to fix something is ridiculous because without the problem in the forst place, there's no motivation to go back and fix it, as was shown in the Jules Vern novel.

Posts: 12422 May 7, 2009 12:20 PM Shogun of Harlem	that was the whole point of Faraday saying it WAS possible to change the past. He was saying it's not really a paradox, and there is a solution. I doubt they painted themselves into a corner like that.
