Her: Just curious Me: What day is Columbus day in 2016? Just curious Her: Very funny. Wedding. Not even gonna ask. Basically, If you make it known that the very idea of going to an autumn wedding appalls you, she won't even bother. Koban, I'm looking at you.

I still may make the game. the problem is that I was given permission to skip but you and i know that if I skip it'll be a horrible offense, of course my marriage survived the last ole miss lsu (in oxford) game where i drank and entire handle and nearly got divorced so I could probably make it through the game ok. either way fuck you right in the ass with a souzaphone (or however you spell that all important of band instruments.

She's a teacher and it would extremely detrimental to her kids to take several days off on either side of a possible wedding date. That leaves Christmas, spring break or the summer. The back end of her spring break falls on Good Friday/Easter in 2010. That's made finding a church and officiant impossible. (Apparently some pastors don't do weddings during Lent?) So it's either wait 13 months, go to Vegas or do it on January 2nd.

I'm assuming you're like me in that if you are at a wedding and Ole Miss is playing anything, you won't be tuned into anything at the wedding, and in all likelihood, your whole mood for the night will be based on what we are doing. You'll either be absent from the reception for most of the night on the phone with friends getting the scores. Or, if the game is over, you'll either be in a bad mood because we lost, or you'll be in a bad mood because we won and you missed it. Simply let her know that if you go to the wedding, you won't be tuned in to the wedding. You won't be any fun, and if Ole Miss loses, you'll be the obnoxious pissed off drunk guy that embarasses her. Be sure to paint a vivid picture of exactly how every scenario will play out, and she'll likely be asking you not to go. I had to go to a friend's wedding on the night of an Ole Miss game once. My wife made me go to this one. We lost, and let's just say she'll never do that again. I embarassed her more that night than any other since we started dating.

Other than that, you were given a free pass to not miss the fucking LSU game in Oxford, one that very well may decide whether or not we go to Atlanta for the first time ever. Do you realize how many great men throughout history would have sacrified their first born for a free pass in similar situations? Of course, it's not really a "free" pass and you will pay for it down the road. But, short of divorce, it's a small price to pay to potentially see Hollingsworth Field rushed after beating LSU and securing an outright SEC West Championship. For God's sake, man, take the money and run! And, don't think you can just sit on this for a while and make a decision closer to time. You need to lock this bitch up while it's even available. Your old lady could change her mind at any moment. Take your Get Out of Jail Free Card immediatley. In fact, get a football calendar, hang that bitch up in a prominent place in your house and circle Nov. 21 on that motherfucker with your own blood just to make sure she has no possible excuse or reason to "forget" she said you are allowed to skip the wedding. Oh, and really outdo yourself on her birthday this year.

I don;t know why they couldn;t have just done it over christmas or spring break or summer break, anything but football season. When my wife found out, she called in a panick to confirm the date of the OM/LSU game and then literally cried. She felt really bad because the girl told her she didn't have to go to the wedding, but of course how do you back out of being the maid of honor? Whether I go to oxford or not, I'm gonna see that game.
