Has any athlete ever handled a situation better than Donte Stallworth? I hope he is a good guy and not just a product of a savvy agent. Point two texas has a
player named Tant. Name me some similarities. Shode, Kizz, Trabia, I guess Welch could be one for you internet porn peers of mine.

Exactly how did he handle that situation right? | #1

Aside from killing someone, pleading down, and then paying off the family?

It looks to me like he took the situation with remorse and was accountable for his actions. That is my whole point was he a good guy or just handled well.

Killing a human < killing some dogs
You just grab her by the hamhock and start dunking, then you take your two fingers and get a whiff |

What is it with these NFL/former Tennessee players and manslaughter? | #5
|
That's wild. Dante Stallworth. Leonard Little also comes to mind. Jamal Lewis also comes to mind for run ins with the law. Pretty sure Albert Haynesworth
tried to slaughter a man with his foot. I also want to believe the kicking Colquitts tried to pull some joint bank heist. What gives?

Killing dogs brought more publicity. | #7

Michael Vick was hounded, pun intended, by the press and special interest groups like PETA. Those people care more about the lives of dogs, fucking
animals, than they do the lives of humans.

No...one is an accident | #8
|
One is continued willful criminal conspiracy. This has nothing to do with dogs. People get behind the wheel after drinking all the time. It's a bad choice.
And sometimes it yields tragic results. Putting your friends in charge of a mansion and running a dog fighting and gambling operation out of it is not anything
for which most people would have sympathy.
Accident. Willful. That's the difference. And in terms of interest/societal groups, other than the AFL-CIO or the NRA, MADD carries more influence in terms of public policy and law enforcement than any other group.

So willfully fucking up dogs is worse than accidentally killing a human being? | #9

Just trying to clarify your point.
And when did choosing to drive blind drunk become accidental. With all the cool RAAAD commercials and all. |

That's not what I said. I said that our society is more offended by someone who engages in a criminal practice that is sadistic in nature and shows a
pattern of behaviour more than we are over an accident.
Who would you rather have as a neighbor? The guy who was involved in a tragic accident? Or the guy who for years had run a dog fighting operation via proxy? I'll take my chances with Stallworth. It's not like I'm being a proponent of killing people with your car. And yes, killing someone with your car whether you are drunk or not is an accident. Unless you were playing a wicked game of "Kill the Bum".

Assface is a very intellectual response, I imagine Dan Jones threw that card | #11
|
at some point during the Chancellor interviews. I guess I was confused by your original post which seemed to paint willful dog killing as worse than unwillful
human killing.
But now that you have clarified that anything accidental is preferable over anything intentional, I guess I see your point as being the exact same point as you started with. |

First of all, yes. | #12 | ||
|
Doing something without intent is actually a condition of punishment in criminal law. If I kill you by accident, it's not as bad as if I killed you on
purpose. And it's my opinion that someone that would be involved for years in a dog killing ring is probably more sadistic and a greater danger to society
than someone who is involved in a vehicular manslaughter where alcohol is involved.
Assface.

Ah, I see what you did there. Lewis, notice that's "behaviour" with a U. On message boards that usually implies "you want to think twice
before pressing that 'Reply' button, fellow."

but knowing quite a bit about criminal law, I would say that the end result is more often than not the determining factor in how someone is charged. And I
don't disagree that it takes a sorry, sadistic bastard to torture and kill animals, surely it does. And it speaks to the character of the person for sure.
But in the end, an accidental killing of a human is worse than the deliberate killing of an animal.
I am trying to say I agree that Vick is a sorry, sick fuck who needs to be shock collared. Can we end as friends? Dickless? |

On your first point, I agree with you. It is worse if you kill on purpose than kill on accident. However, it is worse to kill a human than any number of
dogs.

Donte went home, passed out, woke up in the morning and got in the car. Who hasn't done that? | #19
|
The police said it was basically unavoidable, anyone would have hit him, sober or not. Kind of like the guy who got off for killing the girl on Hwy 6.
Then, you add the family was ok with this. And as for people vs. dogs, INTENT. He had no intent, Vick did.

.12 is not "blind drunk". Plus the cops said anyone would have hit him, drunk or not | #20
|
and it's hard to blame anyone who passed out then woke up in the morning.
When the cops say a sober person would have hit him, I tend to believe them.
