from somewhere:
A possibly interesting note: Tyler Russell is already one of us
I don't just mean signed and on campus, either. Follow me here. In the course, literally, of my campus walk today (4 laps Drill Field, then around dorm row to the Alumni Center and back) I pass by the dorm where several football players live in summer. I know this by the travel-bag tags they hang from the rearview mirror on the cars parked in front.
Well, today I noticed a tag presumably from an official visit with Tyler's name, as he hasn't gotten the travel tag yet. Not only that, the vehicle has a Mississippi State tags already!
But here is why I call him one of us; the vehicle in question is a Dodge Ram 1500 pickemup truck. Not one of those @#$%&^*() cul-de-sac cowboy SUV's that college kids feel obliged to drive, usually with a Remington buck-outline in the window to make them at least think they're really 'country', but an honest-to-octane truck. Medium gray, with a nice accessory touch of a chrome gas-tank lid cover emblazoned by the MState logo!
This is a kid I can relate to. Sure, I currently drive two Bavarian products...but I learned on a Chevy C-10, puke olive green, 250-straight six, three-on-the-tree, no A/C, and a bench seat you'd melt to in July. And I could stack 52 square bales on it (2 on the cab) and get it up a 20-degree grade without needing a tie-down.
Like I said, possibly interesting. If not, no worry.
