Have some respect for yourself.
Your favorite sports team scores a game tying point, you find a dollar in the street, you see someone you hate get their ass kicked in public, all of these blissful moments deserve, nay, demand the most communal of public displays of pleasure: The Landshark. |

That's cool man. BTW, I'm NOT a Houston Nutt hater.
Gus Malzahn? Now I cannot stand that piece of crap snake in the grass. |

I lived in Memphis for six years. I understand Ole Miss Nation. I also have much respect for those little Ole Miss hotties in those sundresses.

Malzahn a snake? Who are you and what have you done with your hog fan backbone? | #6

GAhogfan or however the hell you spell his name will be here to roast you verbally if you don't praise Gus and hate all things Hooten.
I still imagine a scenario where the 13-0 Rebels are a mere second or two away from kickoff against USC in the Rose Bowl
for all the marbles and then good lord baby Jesus shows up in the clouds to call me and all the other good Rebels home... what do we do? Accept our eternal
glory or stick around to see if our boys can seal the ultimate deal?

That would make GAhogfan a propaganda artist.
I've got plenty. Here's a start: What D1 team played against 9 of the worst defenses in America last year (while also running stats up on a 1-AA team)? Answer: Tulsa, where Malzahn was the coordinator. Malzahn's BS offense will get fried in the SEC this year. |

I wouldn't go that far. I think Malzahn will have some success at Auburn, but he'll struggle some this year offensively. That offense can work in the
SEC. However, it's not going to work if you don't have a relatively accurate passer, which he doesn't.
What I do think is stupid are the number of fans that are ticked that Mustain wasn't asked to throw the ball 40 times a game his true freshman year when you had Jones and McPhadden in the backfield. You don't come in and go to a spread, wide-open passing game with a true freshman QB when you have two 1st round tailbacks. |

And Malzan's offense got held in check by Ark. last year | #10

who had a shitty defense. If they couldn't score on Ark, they are pretty pathetic.

Shepard Smith: "Yea. There's a statue to me right there at the end of the bar." |

It doesn't make it easier to say. When you read it, you still say "fuck" in your head. This is the second time in 2 days I've seen this on here, and I just don't get it. I don't think Malzahn's offense is going to work in the SEC. | #13
|
Granted, I only saw Tulsa play once last year, but my impression was that they were confused and unorganized on offense and their strategy completely relied on
the defense being even more confused and unorganized due to the pace they play at. SEC defenses will adapt to that shit a lot better than the defenses he
faced in CUSA. As someone else pointed out, one of the SEC's worst defenses pretty much shut that offense down last season.

Rule 17 bans the use of the term if I remember correctly. Thus, <17> is used in its place. Why it is done over here, I'm not sure.

Malzhan may have a fine system... | #16
|
but he has not proven he is able to adjust and manage that system in this league with different personnel situations. Lots of guys (more experienced than he
is) have had good systems that can work but failed at this level. He is still a guy that had success in HS and with two first round RBs. He couldn't and
wouldn't adjust there and had some success at a low level at Tulsa. Will be interesting to see what he does at AU with that personnel.

patdog wrote: I don't know if I would say that. Here are Tulsa's numbers from that game: Total Yards - 528 Pass Yards - 344 Rush Yards - 184 First Downs - 25 Turnovers - 3 Points - 23 Tulsa moved the ball up and down the field on Arkansas. They just made some key turnovers to keep them from scoring more. For comparison, here is what Arkansas's defensive averages were in those categories for the year: Total Yards - 375.2 Pass Yards - 204.4 Rush Yards - 170.8 First Downs - 19.1 Turnovers - 1.33 Points - 31.2 When you see those numbers, you can see that Tulsa's offense did a pretty good job against Arkansas's defense, they just didn't put it in the endzone, due in large part to the turnovers. Here are Tulsa's averages offensively for the year for comparison: Total Yards - 569.9 Pass Yards - 301.9 Rush Yards - 268.0 First Downs - 27.9 Turnovers - 2.14 Points - 47.2 Yardage-wise, Tulsa's offense moved the ball just about as well on Arkansas as they did on their weak CUSA opponents. Obviously Arkansas put up a little bit better of a fight against Tulsa than most of their opponents, and they kept them down in the category that matters most, scoring, but they really didn't shut them down by any means. Again, I'm not buying that the offense will work that well in the SEC, but I don't think it'll be a collossal failure either. He'll put offenses on the field that move the ball pretty well, but I don't think his offense will be the type you build championship teams around in the SEC. |

Where in the hell did this supposedly long-standing rivalry with Arkansas come from? I swear it's just something Hog fans made up to justify their batshit
behavior over the last year or so.
