Posts: 241 Jul 10, 2009 12:58 PM	The Local Voice found out this morning that one of the guys featured on the cover of The Local Voice #84 was involved in a terrible accident just a few days after the cover photo was shot. Chase Treadway is the man second from the left on the front cover. He is a good friend of Winter Harden, the girl at the center of the photo with The Local Voice t-shirt. On Friday, July 3rd, Chase had an unfortunate accident in a swimming pool in Oxford. He broke two vertebrae in his neck. He has limited range of motion in his arms, but no feeling or movement from the chest down. Chase will be confined to a wheelchair for several months. We are hoping for a full recovery after several months of physical therapy. Illusions Sports Bar will be holding a benefit night for Chase on Thursday July 16th. The bar will be having drink specials and music all night. Illusions will be donating half of their profits to Chase and his family. The goal they are trying to reach is $10,000. Cover will be $5 at the door. It is unfortunate that TLV didn't find out about Chase's accident until after the new issue was printed, because we certainly would have had this info in the issue.
