Suck it Penn State. |

|
As Mike & Mike mentioned this morning, there is still a lot of football left and Tex Tech will either lose or will win out, in which case they jump Penn
State anway. I'm hoping for Bama to beat LSU, UF to beat Bama, and then UF to skull-fuck Penn State or Oklahoma or another big 12 school. Meanwhile, OM
hands LSU yet another loss and secures second in the West. Nutt takes OM to Cotton bowl and Nutt has already accomplished Cut's highwater mark in his
first year. Recruiting picks way up and Nutt pulls another decent to good class late and builds lots of momentum as the coaching soap opera in the SEC plays
out.

I think it'll be interesting to watch the battle between Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, and USC. All 4 are playing pretty good football, and all 4 are one loss
teams right behind the 3 undefeateds.
It looks like Penn State should finish undefeated (unfortunately). I don't think Texas Tech can finish undefeated. They have Okie State and OU left, and if they navigate those two, they'll have to likely face Mizzou in the Big 12 title game. I just don't see them navigating that slate undefeated. And I still think Florida sticks it to Bama even if Bama makes it to the SEC title game undefeated. So in my mind, it'll be Penn State versus one of those 4 teams (Texas, OU, Florida, USC). I think USC has the toughest chance because they're sitting behind all three of those teams right now, and they don't play any big games. Oklahoma still gets Texas Tech, and Florida should get a shot at Bama. Should be an interesting run. Hopefully Penn State will find a way to choke a game away, and we'll get to see Texas or OU against Florida. Either of those would be a great game. |

I am kind of hoping for PSU in the BCS title game | #3

why the Penn State hate?
Tech will lose, and it will likely be UF/PSU in the title game, which I would be perfectly OK with.

Penn State hate because they play in a weak conference... | #4
|
which doesn't have a title game and the big ten has fucked up two nat'l title games w/ OSU. OSU got destroyed already by USC. I just don't think
Penn State deserves a title game and the fact that the big ten is fucking up a play-off makes me want it that much more.

Agree...TT will not win out. | #5

They still have OU and OSU left to play and possibly the Big 12 Championship Game. No way they win out.

I agree. I take a look at what Texas Tech did Saturday, and I compare it to what it would've been like had we beaten LSU in 2003 and then had to turn
around and face two more top 10 opponents, followed by a conference title game. There is no way we'd have been able to keep winning after having the
biggest win in the program in a long time.
That may have been TTU's biggest win in their program's history. There is just no way in my mind that they can keep that up for two more games plus a Big 12 title game. They are bound to have a let down. |

If Ole Miss, LSU, and South Carolina all finish 8-4 | #8
|
the Outback Bowl would have to take LSU over South Carolina for us to make the Cotton Bowl. Second in the west doesn't have a bowl tie-in. If we are all
8-4, thats a 3 way tie for the next bowl selection spot behind the Capital One Bowl (We would all be 1-1 against each other). The Outback Bowl gets first pick.
If they take South Carolina, I think the Cotton Bowl takes LSU over us. If the Outback bowl takes LSU, I think the Cotton Bowl takes us over USC.

SoxFan343 wrote: That's a good point, and hypotetically, our chances for the Cotton would possibly be greater if LSU were to beat Alabama and then lose to us. If we did that, and South Carolina ends up 8-4 or 7-5, then we'd likely get the Cotton and LSU would be in Tampa. |

I have to admit, I'm a bit scared of the Cotton Bowl. | #13
|
I'm afraid one of those Big 12 quarterbacks would go B.J. Symons on our secondary and embarrass us on national television. I think I would rather go to
the Capital One Bowl and beat the shit out of a Big Ten team in Orlando. Thoughts?

You don't like that fried onion thing that they make? | #14

I love it. I like their fried onion thing better than anyone else's. I wouldn't boycott them under any circumstances. Ever.
I've always heard that, if you can't run with the big dogs, you should stay on the porch. My question is, why does one's
inability or lack of desire to run with big dogs confine him to the porch? Why shouldn't such a man be allowed to roam the rest of the house or even go for
a nice walk in the park?
